Welcome to ChapterClubs. By using our service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use ChapterClubs. By creating an account, you represent that you meet this requirement. Users under 18 should have parental consent.

2. Your Account

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
• You must provide accurate information when creating your account
• You may not share your account or create multiple accounts
• Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized account access

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Harass or harm: Bully, threaten, or harass other users
• Post harmful content: Share content that is illegal, hateful, sexually explicit, or violates others' rights
• Spam: Send unsolicited messages or post repetitive content
• Impersonate: Pretend to be another person or entity
• Manipulate: Use bots, scripts, or automated tools to access the service
• Circumvent: Attempt to bypass security measures or access restricted features
• Infringe: Share copyrighted content without authorization

Violations may result in content removal, warnings, or account suspension.

4. User Content

Your ownership: You retain ownership of content you post (messages, reviews, etc.).

License to us: By posting content, you grant ChapterClubs a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content within the service.

Your responsibility: You are solely responsible for content you post. Do not share content that violates these terms or any applicable laws.

Removal: We may remove content that violates these terms. You may delete your own content at any time.

5. Book Discussion Guidelines

• Use spoiler tags when discussing content ahead of the current chapter
• Respect different reading paces and interpretations
• Keep discussions relevant to the book and chapter
• Be constructive in your criticism and feedback

6. Intellectual Property

ChapterClubs and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by ChapterClubs and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

Book titles, covers, and metadata are the property of their respective publishers and authors. ChapterClubs does not claim ownership of third-party content.

7. Premium Features

ChapterClubs may offer premium subscription features. If you subscribe:

• Billing occurs on a recurring basis until cancelled
• You may cancel anytime; access continues until the end of your billing period
• Refunds are provided in accordance with applicable law
• Prices may change with reasonable notice

8. Third-Party Services

ChapterClubs may integrate with third-party services (e.g., Google for authentication). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies.

9. Service Availability

We strive to keep ChapterClubs available and functioning properly, but we do not guarantee:

• Uninterrupted or error-free service
• That defects will be corrected
• That the service will meet your specific requirements

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

10. Termination

By you: You may delete your account at any time through Settings.

By us: We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with or without notice depending on severity.

Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately.

11. Disclaimer of Warranties

ChapterClubs is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ChapterClubs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly.

Our total liability for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ChapterClubs from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or violation of these terms.

14. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

15. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the state where ChapterClubs is headquartered.
